Laboratory:
Quality color matching always starts in the laboratory at Los Angeles Dye & Wash. Compatibility and selection of dyes is of the utmost importance in achieving a dye formula. Non-compatible dyes or odd dyes make for poor quality. Our textile chemists thoroughly test each dye for quality assurance and only use top of the line brands. We value our customers' opinion. If you are unsure about the color you want come by and work with our lab technicians to choose the right color for you. Our dye specialists are versed in reactive, direct, sulfur, poly-cotton, tie and natural dyes. As well, our lab has a state of the art laundrometer and 25 years worth of textile chemistry experience.
Dyeing:
We are home to 29 G.A.Braun computerized dyeing machines. By having a large variety of dyeing machines we have greater control during the dyeing process. Most of our competitors in the dye industry only use very large or very small machines. This causes them to either underload or overload the machines which will create an imperfect dye. By have the variety of machines we are able to match pounds to machine size so that we can provide the best dye job possible.
Dryers:
To compensate for all the dyeing machines we have Los Angeles Dye & Wash has equipped its self with several Consolidated dryers. All of our dryers are computer controlled for precise heat control to achieve the specifications required by each individual customer.
Quality:
Upon completion all of our garments are stringently quality tested to ensure the best possible product. By controlling each dye load number we can maintain customer lot integrity. Each load is inspected first for color then inspected a second time for overall evenness and hand feel softness. Our department will, if desired, work with your quality control inspector in showing how to properly inspect the garments.
Shipping:
Los Angeles Dye & Wash knows that time is of the essence. We have 4 of our own trucks plus outside carriers to ensure you get your product or pick-up on time. Our fleet runs from 7:30 in the morning until 6:00 at night or until the job is done. All garments are counted on pickup and are weighed by our computerized floor scales on arrival to ensure accuracy. Our trucks are fully insured and pick-up within Los Angeles and Orange County. We can ship both domestic and international through our interstate freight carriers.
